Al Hassan organizes painting competition for children (01 August 2013)
As part of its ongoing initiative to engage with the employees, Al Hassan recently organized a painting competition for the children of its employees at its head office in Muscat. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout from children of all age groups who were divided into three groups and given different topics to showcase their creativity. The kids art competition is organized as an annual event meant to serve as a platform to recognize the talent of the children who are considered as the extension of the Al Hassan family.
As initiated by the HR division of the Group, the kids were arranged in three categories according to their age and different themes were given to them for drawing. The topics ranged from what I want to be when I grow up? The Environment and My favorite sport. However, the younger children were given the liberty of to draw pictures of their own interest. The enthusiasm and the infectious laughter of the children added an extra element of fun to the event. The winners were declared on the spot and awarded cash prizes, gifts and certificates.
"We were delighted by the creativity and quality of the paintings completed by so many talented children and it was near impossible to pick the best ones - but it is my real pleasure to congratulate all the winners." Said Mr. Shahzad Sadan, General Manager- Organizational Development, Al Hassan Group.
At the Kids art competition and other initiatives throughout the year, Al Hassan places special emphasis on the children to shape opinions and also to provide a platform for them to connect with the organization where their parents work thus building a direct relationship with the citizens of the future, the children of today.
